Trailer | Apr 16, 2013
Rumours had already uncovered the existence of it, but now Sega has officially confirmed that the Mega Drive classic, Castle of Illusion, and has released a trailer for the soon to be downloadable title.
As with a lot of remakes, the new title will attempt to keep the style and feel of the original game, but will also include a lot of features the original title simply couldn’t manage due to technical restrictions of hardware at the time.
Developed by Sega’s team in Australia, it’ll be a full HD re-imaging of the old school platformer, this time including 3D visuals and a raft of new levels for Mickey to negotiate.
There’s no pricing or exact release date other than Summer this year, but we can expect more details soon.
